We made the dream come true with the DREAM Mobile! Created by Come Play Detroit, the DREAM Mobile provides recreational programming that comes right to your doorstep. We partner with Detroit schools, camps and afterschool programs to expand extracurricular options for students. From sports to STEAM, there’s something for everyone!

A Dream Come True

DREAM Mobile provides our own trained staff to come and provide various forms of play, from sports, arts and crafts, dance and more! In addition, we work with the youth organizations to determine what additional programs they would like their youth to get to experience. Youth organizations pick from our menu of partners that specialize in various programs, and we outsource them to bring their offerings to the youth organizations.

Whether it’s during a class time, recess, or after school activity, we are able to help fill in the gaps that may exist in current curriculum, or be an add-on to already existing offerings. In addition, we are available for special events as well, including park activations and special events!

Enthusiastically supported by the Gilbert Family Foundation.

Play for a Cause worked with the Rocket Community Fund/Gilbert Family Foundation to provide a “Free Day of Play” to Detroit youth, which included a complimentary bus to shuttle kids from schools, camps and after school programs to experience the activities downtown. Upon closure of the Monroe Midway, all the parties involved wanted to find ways to continue to provide Detroit’s youth with unique experiences, and thus the DREAM Mobile program was created!
